The preparation of the driveway and the actual sealcoating consists of a 7 step process:
- Power blowing the driveway
- Edging around the areas of brick, cement, block, and road with an edger brush so as not to splash sealer on these areas
- Seal drive with the first coat of sealer.
- Cracks are filled - larger cracks are filled with filler after drive dries.
- We return the next day to apply a second coat of sealer mixed with black beauty sand.
- Driveway is blocked off with cans, signs, or caution tape
- 1.5 – 2 days: After the second coat is applied, cars are allowed on the driveway
Our Commitment To You

Why does Asphalt Pavement Deteriorate?
Left untreated, asphalt pavement will deteriorate rapidly. The asphalt binder (glue) that holds the pavement together begins to oxidize and weather soon after installation. Moisture penetrates the asphalt, causing damage and deterioration to the pavement. Oil, gas and salt cause further damage to the pavement surface. All of this environmental distress is why asphalt goes from a newly laid fresh black appearance to a drab, aged, oxidized gray appearance.

Sealcoating Protects and Beautifies Asphalt Pavement
Sealcoating with SealMaster pavement sealer replenishes the binder that is lost through weathering and aging and provides a barrier to moisture intrusion as well as ultraviolet rays, chemicals and salt.
